:Well, my buddy Jay has been working on this "little" project for the better part of 4 years now. As of Sunday afternoon, its officially alive. As you can see, this soon to be road racer is a variable plethera of custom fab work. It has a perfect 50/50 weight distribution, and is primarily composed of chromoly tubing, aluminum, and fiberglass - curb weight a mere 2300 Lbs. Asthetics aside, one of the most impressive atributes IMHO is the chasis flex / engine twist...as in, there is none. When you snap the Chevy small block 350 to life, stomping aggressively on the throttle, you are in awe of the peaceful stillness with which the car innocently sits. Even my Z32 w/ solid motor mounts has a decent amount of flex, but this 240 is unreal. At the risk of being long winded, I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves, but rest assured, Jay spared no expense here. It is truly a work of art and realized labor of love. Enjoy. :Absent in these pics are the Beautiful spoiler made from aircraft grade aluminum and the hood - you can get a peak in some of the shots. The spoiler has been meticulously engineered to produce appx. 600lbs of down force - roughly 1/4 the cars curb weight. Also, he's undecided on a paint scheme...I'm sure there are a few possibilities ;-) : : : : : : : : : : : : : :Don't I wish this was mine...maybe he'll let me drive it at Thunderhill for a few laps :-) : : : : : : :Additionally, there is a video clip of the start up on youtube - just do a search for GT240 and it should come up.Chevy 350 in 240Z conversion. GREAT PERFORMANCE!!!
